Rob O'Hara
Rob is a registered psychologist who has completed his Master’s in Clinical Psychology and is currently undertaking his PhD exploring the benefits of walk and talk nature therapy for men’s mental health at the University of Newcastle.
Rob is passionate about creating a relaxed and non-judgemental and open space in which clients can feel comfortable to explore their experiences and challenges from a trauma-informed lens, with an aim of empowering them to better understand and feel well within themselves, promote healthy lifestyle practices and positively engage with life.
He has a background of working in surf therapy and a variety of psychology clinics including drug and alcohol services and a psychosis recovery service. Rob loves working with a range of clients of all genders, ages (primarily adolescents and adults) including those facing challenges with mood and anxiety, alcohol and substance use and trauma. An additional area of passionate interest for Rob is addressing traditional norms of masculinity to support effective and meaningful engagement of blokes in clinical mental health support services.
