Georgia Tranthem
Georgia is a psychologist who works with children, adolescents, adults, and families. With experience across school, community, and private practice settings. She brings a thoughtful and relational approach to her work—supporting individuals to better understand themselves and their relationships, and to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and clarity.
Originally from the Northern Territory, Georgia brings a warm and grounded presence shaped by the work roles across contexts and a deep appreciation for people from all walks of life. Since moving to Newcastle in 2022, she has continued to grow her practice with a focus on systemic and family-based work, and it is studying a Masters in Family Therapy.
Georgia’s practice is informed by contemporary family therapy models, with a strong emphasis on relationships, context, and the strengths that exist within individuals and families. She has particular experience in child and family support, including previous assessment work, advocacy, parent coaching, and group-based interventions.
Whether working with individuals or families, Georgia aims to promote wellbeing in ways that are collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to the unique needs of each person.
