Rowena Cox

Rowena is a psychologist who welcomes working with people across the lifespan presenting with diverse identities and clinical presentations. She uses transdiagnostic approaches to help address individual’s primary concerns, enhance their wellbeing and build a life worth living. Rowena is passionate about mindfulness, movement (especially in the outdoors), and helping others connect more fully with themselves and the world around them. Rowena has experience working in community health and university settings as well as private practice. She brings an empathic, compassionate, conversational style to the therapy space and has also enjoyed offering ‘walk and talk’ therapy outside of the office. In her free time Rowena likes to swim, read, and stroll in the sunshine.

Rowena’s therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
